A stunning crescent bay just minutes from Ibiza Town — calm turquoise waters, golden sand, vibrant beach bars and breathtaking sunsets. The perfect base for your Ibiza escape.
Find a HotelAbout the Beach
Talamanca is a sheltered bay on the northeast coast of Ibiza, just a 20-minute walk or 5-minute taxi ride from the vibrant Ibiza Town (Eivissa). Unlike the famous party beaches of San Antonio or Playa d'en Bossa, Talamanca strikes a perfect balance: calm waters ideal for families and swimmers, yet close enough to enjoy the legendary Ibiza nightlife whenever you want.
The beach stretches roughly one kilometre of fine golden sand, lined with a charming promenade filled with beach bars, seafood restaurants, and boutique hotels. The bay faces northeast, which means it is sheltered from the prevailing summer winds and the water stays beautifully calm throughout the season.
With shallow entry points and lifeguards on duty during peak season, Talamanca is one of Ibiza's most family-friendly beaches — yet it never loses that Mediterranean glamour that makes Ibiza so magical.
Why Visit
From crystal-clear waters to stunning Ibiza Town views — discover what keeps visitors coming back year after year.
The sheltered bay creates ideal swimming conditions. The water is calm, clear and warm — perfect for snorkelling, paddleboarding and simply floating in the Mediterranean sunshine.
From the beach you enjoy panoramic views of the UNESCO-listed Dalt Vila — Ibiza's old town fortress — rising dramatically above the harbour. A truly spectacular backdrop.
The promenade is lined with chiringuitos (beach bars) and excellent restaurants serving fresh seafood, tapas and cocktails. Many stay open until late, seamlessly blending beach and nightlife.
Practical Information
Talamanca is a Blue Flag beach with excellent facilities throughout the summer season:
The beach season runs May through October. July and August are the hottest and busiest months, with air temperatures reaching 30–34°C. For a more relaxed experience with fewer crowds, visit in June or September — the weather is still gorgeous and the sea is warm.
There is limited parking along the promenade. In July and August parking fills up quickly — we recommend arriving early (before 10am) or using public transport from Ibiza Town.
Sunlounger + parasol typically costs €10–20 per day. Showers are free. Some chiringuitos offer free sunbeds with minimum spend on food and drinks.
Activities
Whether you're looking for adventure on the water or a lazy day under the sun, Talamanca has something for everyone.

Walk or take a short taxi to the historic old town — a UNESCO World Heritage site with stunning views, museums and restaurants.
Talamanca is home to Lio and other world-famous beach clubs — a seamless blend of beach, dining and live entertainment.
